New York City

Besides the Provo parade and the Lehi parade which we absolutely love going to, there were always the two national classics that are musts- Macy's Thanksgiving and Rose parades! I have been fortunate enough to attend the Rose parade twice and have always wanted to go to the Macy's parade. Being on the East coast, we knew the parade somehow needed to be on the bucket list! Luck would have it that Scotts brother Ryan, lives in the city and so for Thanksgiving we were able to spend time with him and cross another thing off the list!

Scott's cousin Evan was able to come out from DC and enjoy Thanksgiving with us. Jackson had so much fun with Evan and really liked that there were three big boys to play with. This was the first Thanksgiving that we didn't have a turkey but we replaced it with some really good NYC BBQ.

Scott and Jackson have never been to NYC so we tried to fit every thing in during our short little stay. After the parade we did all the attractions around Central Park and the Rockefeller Center. We were able to go to FAO Schwarz and see the guys perform on the big piano like in the movie "Big". On the second day we were able to go see ground zero, the Statue of Liberty, and the business district. There were a lot of protesters and Scott was excited to see the cops on horseback controlling the scene!

One of my many favorite things about our tip was going to the restaurant, Max Brenner's Chocolate by the Bald Man! It was sooooo good and Jackson went to town on their home made mac and cheese! I now crave it all the time and their chocolate is truly to die for.

Watch the guy in the green pants to your left and his friend in the next pic. :)
