10 days with Scott!!!

When Scott has his time off from school we decided to take advantage of every day and explore the east coast! Due to the hot muggy weather we stayed around Scranton this time around. During the week we paid a little visit to this out door mall that people raved about and we took Scott to our favorite park. One of Jackson's favorite activities was going to this gorgeous lake that is about 40 min away. We got some sun, swam, and Jackson even got to chase some ducks.

Scott had a friend that plays for the Durham Bulls and gave some sweet tickets when they were in town playing against our Scranton Yankees! To our luck ARod was playing that night!!! The stadium was packed and I like to think that Cameron Diaz was somewhere in the stadium. However with the large crowd and the extra noise it didn't go over to well with Jackson. He is a little sensitive to noise so Jackson and I spent most of the time in a stairwell. :)

The big trip that we did go on during Scotts time off was in Palmira. It was amazing! We were able to visit all the historical sites where Joseph Smith grew up to where our church was started. It was amazing to see how simple they lived and how we can take so much for granted. It was also remarkable to see how they printed the book of mormon or any book/newspaper back in that time.  There was no back space or print preview for them. Near the Printing Press was Jacksons favorite site, the Sacred Grove. You could really feel the spirit and the peace that it brings just form being inside. Jackson is one of the few that can say that he was able to take a nap in it. We missed the Hilcomora Pageant this year but if we are here next year we will have to go.

To end things off we had a BBQ with some friends and played some bocci ball. And yes, we brought our favorite game out here from Utah. Since we ended things on a good note we had to start Scotts new semester off right. We had a big breakfast the first day of fall semester for some of Scotts friends in his program! The crepes were a hit!!!
